Woodwind Faculty Recital

Redfern Arts Center
Saturday, · -
woodwind

The recital features solo and chamber works that encompass a wide range of styles. Included in the program is Court Dances by Amanda Harberg for flute and piano, performed by Robin Matathias and Hugh Keelan. It is a piece that sparkles with the composer’s sense of magic, delight and warmth, and was inspired by the fast and syncopated bounce of a squash ball. Also on the program is a work for saxophone and piano by Pulitzer Prize winning composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, the lively Dance of the Woods for saxophone and clarinet by Herman Beeftink, Black for two saxophones by Marc Mellits, and a wonderful trio by Paul Harvey.

This event is part of the RAC Music Department calendar and is open to the public.
