We are excited to announce that April 11-13, the Keene State College Theatre and Dance Department will be celebrating its 50th Evening of Dance, Dressed in Blue, featuring Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue! Our 50th Evening of Dance, Dressed in Blue will be a multi-day celebration of dance at Keene State, with events for alumni, students, parents, and the community. In addition to four performances, there will be an opening night reception, open classes and studio hours for alumni to take part in, and a Gershwin panel discussion for students, parents, alumni, and members of the community.

For the past 50 years, Evening of Dance has showcased original choreographed works by students, faculty, and guest artists and designers across disciplines and reinvents dance through an inspiring breadth of contemporary perspectives. This year’s performance will feature pianist and Coordinator of Keyboards, Associate Professor Christina Wright-Ivanova, the Keene State College Concert Band conducted by Professor John Hart, as well as an original score by Professor Heather Gilligan, coordinator of Composition, Theory, Aural Skills.

Opening Night Reception: At the Thorne Sagendorph Art Gallery from 5pm-7pm

Reception: $25

This event is part of the RAC Redfern Series calendar and is open to the public.
