DESCRIPTION:The Keene State College Music Department presents Keene Vocal 
 Consort directed by Dr. Brittney Redler. The Keene Vocal Consort is an aud
 itioned ensemble devoted to music of the medieval\, renaissance and baroqu
 e periods. They study and sing from original notation when possible and ex
 plore performance practices of the period such as training using modal sca
 les and rhythms as well as period ornamentation and pronunciation. Leaders
 hip is fostered regularly in this ensemble with high expectations from eve
 ry member and frequent musical collaborations on campus and in the communi
 ty.
