Faculty Recital Series: José Lezcano, Guitar & Virginia Eskin, Piano
Tangos, Fandangos, and Boleros is a program celebrating the musical contributions and diversity of composers from Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and the Mediterranean, and the legacy of the guitar and piano in that world. Works by Torroba, Ponce, Nazareth, Boccherini, Vivaldi, and Keene State’s Jose Lezcano (Professor Emeritus) showcase the rhythmic drive and melodic elegance of Latin American and Spanish musical genres.
Also participating will be a group of dedicated string performers for the Vivaldi Concerto: Virginia Eskin (doubling on viola); Sharon Meyer and Rony Levy (violins) and Rhunell Gruender (cello).
