Working in Words: A Poetry Workshop with Meg Kearney
In celebration of Poetry Month, Keene State College Archives & Special Collections will be hosting "Working in Words: A Poetry Workshop with Meg Kearney" on April 9th, from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Mason Library. Meg Kearney is a published New Hampshire poet and the founding director of the Solstice MFA in Creative Writing Program at Lasell University.
Participants in the workshop will explore two specific poetic forms under Meg Kearney’s guidance, “Tell it Slant” poems and “Creed” poems, and will then compose their own original pieces. Afterward, participants will have the opportunity to share their work and receive feedback, though this is not mandatory. All are welcome regardless of skill level. There will be a break offered from 3:30 to 3:45 p.m.
