Brady Keene serves in multiple leadership roles across higher education, occupational safety, and technology. He is an Assistant Professor and Department Chair at Keene State College, where he leads Construction Safety Sciences, Construction Management, and Safety and Occupational Health Applied Sciences. He also serves as Program Manager for WorkWISE NH, New Hampshire’s OSHA On Site Consultation Program, which provides free safety and health consultation services to small businesses across the state through grant funding supported by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Brady is also a cofounder of StepoAI, an AI powered occupational safety and health technology platform focused on improving how organizations capture, understand, and act on safety information.

Brady’s professional focus is rooted in construction safety, though his work has extended across a range of high hazard industries and environments. His background includes experience as a Construction Safety Intern, General Industry Safety Specialist, Construction Safety Specialist, Senior Safety Consultant, and Supervisor. Those experiences helped shape his interest in systems safety, psychological safety, human and organizational performance, Safety II, safety differently, Serious Injury and Fatality prevention, and safety culture.

Brady earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Safety and Occupational Health Applied Sciences from Keene State College. His path into the profession was not a direct one. He began college as an undecided student with plans to become a high school history teacher. During his first year, he enrolled in SAFE 101 and quickly found a strong connection to the safety profession that changed the course of his career. He holds professional designations including ASP, CHST, STSC, and CSP.

Today, Brady’s work centers on improving how safety is taught, practiced, and understood, while helping prepare the next generation of professionals for meaningful impact in the field.

Outside of work, Brady enjoys spending time with his son Bennett, Wife, Jenny, and Dog, Lucy.
