4 Unforgettable Performance Experiences

The Redfern Arts Center proudly announces the return of the Presenting Series for the 2026-27 season. The season will feature 4 professional company residencies throughout the academic year. Each residency will also include an opening night post-show reception with cast meet and greet, post-show Q&A’s, as well as workshops for Keene State College students. The Presenting Series serves the Redfern Arts Center’s mission by providing our students and the Keene community with affordable access to the arts. We maintain the performing arts as an essential part of the health and well-being of all communities in the ability to champion human dignity, celebrate life’s wonders, and provide a roadmap to a hopeful future.

September 17-19, 2026 - La Noce d’Alfonse by Cirque Alfonse

October 21, 2026- The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari with music by Anvil Orchestra

Silent film with live music The classic German Expressionist horror film (1920, directed by Robert Wien) presented with original, live score by The Anvil Orchestra. If there ever was a film for Halloween (or any time one wants to leave the rational world far, far behind), this is it! February 12 & 13, 2027- Carol Kaye Project by Boston Dance Theatre

Music-inspired contemporary dance works Carol Kaye Project celebrates seminal bassist Carol Kaye’s life and breadth of work. Kaye played on an estimated 10,000 recording sessions, with everyone from the Beach Boys to Marvin Gaye, yet remains relatively unknown. Boston Dance Theater’s dancers bring Carol Kaye’s music to life through a repertoire of contemporary dance pieces by choreographers Karole Armitage, Rena Butler, and Rosie Herrera. https://www.bostondancetheater.com/touring-programs

April 1-3, 2027- Tales of Clamor by PULLProject Ensemble

Powerful multi-media theatre experience Tales of Clamor is a theatrical case-study that examines the sound of silence, the echoes of a little-known yet major moment of American history, and its universal reverberations in today’s landscape. Working in collaboration with Nikkei for Civil Rights and Redress (NCRR), Tales of Clamor uses powerful theatrical scenes, movement and aerial choreography, and rarely seen archival video footage from the 1981 Los Angeles Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians (CWRIC) hearings. https://www.pullprojectensemble.com/
