Student Employment
The Campus Recreation & Fitness department is now accepting applications for summer student employment positions (indicate on the application summer as the work period you are interested in).
- Individuals will be contacted by the appropriate supervisor to discuss the interview and hiring process. Interested students can complete the online application at https://keene.presence.io/form/campus-recreation-and-fitness-employee-application.
- Students can also apply for these open positions in Workday, by searching Student Job Board, Keene State College.
Positions being hired for summer 2026:

BodyWorks Fitness Monitor - Students will perform desk duties such as answering phone; supervise the facility and enforce policies; provide daily facility and equipment upkeep/cleaning. Prefer students who are already enrolled in the HPMS exercise science major but others who are interested in the major can also apply.

Facility Supervisor - Students interested in this position must have current first aid and CPR/AED certification to cover the Recreation Center. Students work at the front desk to check IDs, process memberships, supervise the facility and check out equipment.

Lifeguard - Students interested in this position must have current certification in lifeguard training, first aid and CPR/AED and have prior experience lifeguarding. Students will primarily work at the front desk but may lifeguard for sport camps and other groups’ use of the pool.

During the academic year, students with work-study and the appropriate interest and experience for a specific position are hired first. Those with student hourly and hourly authorizations are also eligible to be hired in Campus Recreation. Student employees receive training and supervision for all positions.
