Vocal Consort

The Keene State College Music Department presents Keene Vocal Consort directed by Dr. Brittney Redler. The Keene Vocal Consort is an auditioned ensemble devoted to music of the medieval, renaissance and baroque periods. They study and sing from original notation when possible and explore performance practices of the period such as training using modal scales and rhythms as well as period ornamentation and pronunciation. Leadership is fostered regularly in this ensemble with high expectations from every member and frequent musical collaborations on campus and in the community.
